Friday was the long awaited sleepover night for G. She was so excited. And she'd been wanting to have a sleepover, and insisting each time she saw me was the day for the sleepover, since the day BEFORE school ended, so I couldn't put her off.
I couldn't come up with a plan for the car Friday, since I can't afford to get it fixed or even check out, and I was going crazy with anxiety so I just pushed it aside and worked at cleaning up my apartment a bit. Then I took a nap.
Shannon texted at like 2pm to say that Greer was home from her playdate with Arthur and still really, really wanted to come, so I went and got her.
I drove the boat. It handles as if it is wallowing through rough seas.
I picked her up, and suggested she bring her swimsuit, but then when she was in the car I asked if she wanted to go swimming at the gym and she said no, she just wanted to go to my apartment.
We did stop--at the hamburger stand, and she got two corndogs and an Oreo shake, and I got a hamburger and a peanut butter shake (which left me with $8 to my name).
We came back, and played a few games of Spot It, and watched Trolls (it's on Netflix), and read both the library books she brought with her, and she did four pages in her little kid workbook.
I brushed my teeth when she brushed hers last night, and I got in bed with her at 8pm and was probably asleep before she was.

The cat woke me at 3am, and I got up and fed her, and tried but couldn't go back to sleep. So I applied to some jobs on indeed.com, and was reading. Greer woke up at 5:30 and didn't want to go back to bed. So we watched Moana (which is on Netflix too. I was surprised. It doesn't seem like that long since it came out). I cried a few tears at the grandma.
I made her hot chocolate and blueberry muffins for an early morning breakfast. Later I made her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (second breakfast), then we had chicken and carrots around 2pm.
Also, we played a bunch of games of Uno, and read her library books again, and I made her read some pages from the Richard Scarry's Best First Book Ever. And I wrote out a page of addition and subtraction problems, and she did those, and I got her to count to 100 by fives.
And I was thinking she'd spend another night, but at 3pm my stupid brother texted and said Greer had a birthday party to go to at 5, so if I had her home by 4 there would be time to do her hair and get ready. I was disappointed and a little relieved.
So we got all her stuff together and drove back.
Before they left they said they'd only be gone about an hour and a half, and if I wanted to stick around we could have dinner and watch a movie.
So I stayed.
I was going to watch a movie but I just read the news (infuriating), and they didn't get back until 8.
The girls had to go to bed, but we had hamburgers and then we watched Trainspotting 2 which was odd and a little hard to follow (I kept pausing it to ask what they'd said).
Super tired.
Glad I had the little girl over. It was really nice having her here.

No idea what to do. No job. No idea how to find a job that would pay enough to live on. What was the point of finishing my BA anyway?
